
This amphitheater is a significant Ancient Greek structure. It is one of the many representations of the Ancient Greek culture. The Greeks loved stories of heroes such as Perseus and Odysseus, gods such as Zeus and Athena, and even creatures such as the Minotaur and the Cyclops. Not only did they love to see and hear these stories in amphitheaters like this one, their religion was based on these stories, which today we call myths

2. Students will participate in a webquest to learn about the aspects of the ancient Greek civilization listed in goal one. The webquest is entitled “Welcome to Ancient Greece“.

3. Students will complete a web activity on the Classical Roman society, called “Project Rome”. Teachers will pose a series of questions that can be found within one website (this site is a clearinghouse of Classical Roman information). Students will research those questions.
