Road Rules West Africa - The Challenge

Taking into account the geography, resources, economy, work force and culture, design a small business that would be successful in the area.  Things to consider are:

- What is the location of the business?
- Are there necessary physical resources in the area (river, ocean, desert, etc.)?
- Will your business provide a service that is necessary to the people in the region?
- Are there qualified workers in the region to staff your business?
- How much money will it take to start your business?
- How will you advertise?
- Do people in the area have enough money to buy the goods or services that you are selling?
- Is your business in concert or conflict with the prevailing culture of the region?
You will need a good working knowledge of basic economics which will be discussed in class, along with a deep understanding of the country in which you will build your business.
